Combine being partially removed from the metropolis of downtown Austin, and being right alongside the Colorado river ,and you get a city that appreciates it’s nature. Although Bastrop real estate doesn't lie in a big city like Austin, it definitely holds its own when it comes to golf courses. There are 3 main options to choose from in close proximity to Bastrop real estate: Golfdancer Golf Club, Pine Forest Golf Club, and Colovista Country Club.

Golfdancer is pleasantly located on Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa (midway between Bastrop and the airport), and ranges from 5,000 yards for the beginner to 7,200 yards for the experienced golfer. Pine Forest is a municipal course that’s open 7 days a week about 10 minutes south of the city, while Colovista is just a touch further southeast.

Bastrop Homes for Sale & Its Historic Downtown Core

The Bastrop homes for sale exist amid an important historic setting. The small city does its best to preserve its history, and in the downtown area, you’ll find over 100 historic homes and buildings with signs that give you info on their significance. Among these buildings is the Bastrop County Courthouse, a second-empire Victorian built in the late 19th century.

Bastrop homes for sale don’t boast access to the large malls of Austin or other big cities, but Bridges Emporium Specialty Shops and the downtown area have some specialty shops that might have what you are looking for.
